The Galen Gibbs Memorial Fund
Galen Gibbs was a mountain biker, off-roader, and street trials rider with great potential. He rode with a group from Tustin, California who gathered at The Path bike shop where Galen worked after school. He was a kind and gentle young man who loved the type of biking for which Hans is famous.

After his passing away at age 17 the Galen Gibbs Memorial Fund was formed by his parents. The fund was contributed to by numerous family and friends. His mom, Kim, chief trustee of the fund, had looked over many worthy causes over the last few years and when she became aware of the Wheels-4-Life program she and her husband decided this was absolutely the perfect fit. In the words of his parents, “I’m sure that if Galen were still with us he would want to contribute to the Wheels-4-Life effort.”
For that reason, the Galen Gibbs memorial fund has contributed $4000 U.S. These funds will enable placing 20 bikes with orphans from the Chinagali Primary School in Tanzania and 20 bikes with the Community Initiatives for Development and Action Research in Uganda.
