Village Project
We are currently working on our Village Project. We might have found the perfect village/valley in Tanzania to launch this 2 year test project. Part of this project is to document by photo and video what an impact bicycles will have on this one community over a period of 2 years. The low budget film/ documentary shall support our mission in getting more bikes to people in Third World countries to get them mobile and to help them become more independant. One of our missions will be to use this film and the results to show to other foundations and help organisations to invest more of their funds towards bikes, since they can have such a great impact on communities and individuals.
In January 2008 a small team from Wheels 4 Life, will visit the area in Tanzania to get the project started. Our staff/volunteers will go there on their own time and dime. We have found not only a very suitable community that is about 45 minutes from the next paved road and consists of several small and impoverished villages which are strung along a very inaccessable valley, where people have to cover long distances on foot to go to schools, markets, waterholes, hospitals, etc……
