Fox Racing Shox and their German distributor Toxoholics raffled off a Fox Talas 32 fork at Eurobike tradeshow in Friedrichshafen, Germany; to raise money for Wheels 4 Life. Over 4 days they sold 660 raffle tickets at 1 Euro per ticket. Subsequently we raised Euro 660.- and created a lot of awareness for our cause.

CamelBak International intends to donate 1000 of its new ‘Better Bottle’ to ‘Wheels 4 Life’ at the upcoming Eurobike Show in Friedrichshafen.

Crank Bros. Inc special edition Wheels 4 Life pedal
Crank Bros. Inc will launch a special edition Wheels 4 Life pedal in September 2006. For each set of W4L pedals sold, Crank Bros. Inc. will donate $10 to Wheels 4 Life. This will be a great way to raise funds but also to raise awareness for our charity.

Charity Hike Fundraiser Zugspitze Germany
Thanks you to all the participants and supports of the 2013 Charity Hike to raise Euro 6,000.- for Wheels 4 Life.
On April 13th 2013 Germany’s highest peak was the site for the 8th edition of the Charity Hike, an event were participants try to scale a section of the Zugspitze mountain in Bavaria as often as possible during a period of 4.5 hours. Supporters, friends and sponsors of each hiker/skier donate for each lap and encourage for top archievments which will yield a higher return for the charities involved. This years choosen charities were “Wheels 4 Life” and “We Are High Five”.
Sixtysix (66) brave wintersport enthusiast took on this years challenge, the winner climbed the 180m (600ft) section 16 times, which equals 3000 m vertical and 14km.
The top finishers: Men: Carsten Schneehage, Jörn Steffens, Christoph Seifele. Woman: Kerstin Erdmann, Bernadette Seifele, Ingrid Völker.

In memory of austrian trials and street rider Lukas Mannsberger his friends Niklas and Nora have organized some fundraisers to honor their late friend. We have had a busy and productive year providing bikes in Uganda throughout 2011, funding bicycles for many different projects. Our field Ambassador Jude Muleke hosts meetings twice a year and invites all of the bicycles recipients to attend and discuss their individual projects, the power of the bicycle, how their lives have been impacted by the bike, any pitfalls and how their lives can be further improved through the gift of bicycles. Abby Webb fundraiser
On March 20, 2011 Abby Webb celebrated her 30th birthday by organizing a charitable bike ride for Wheels 4 Life. She and a couple dozen friends got together to ride a 30 mile course through the towns of Igo, Cottonwood and Happy Valley in Northern California. Some friends manned rest stops and cheered on the riders. In exchange for a donation to Wheels 4 Life, participants received a goodie bag of bike treats and lunch after the ride. While enjoying burgers and cupcakes, the group watched the Wheels for Life documentary.
In total, the group raised $635 for Wheels 4 Life. A birthday bike ride to benefit Wheels 4 Life was the perfect way to make Abby’s 30th birthday about more than just being a year older. It was about impacting the world through the power and joy of bicycles.

Camelbak Promo at Eurobike 2010
Thank you to the folks at Camelbak for donating the proceeds of their “Recycle your bottle” promotion from Eurobike tradeshow in Friedrichshafen, Germany. The promotion was well received and encourages people to use their own reuseable waterbottle. Camelbak offers a great range of waterbottles.
The fundraiser generated $2000 and lots of awareness for Wheels 4 Life and for environmental friendlier drinking habits.

Rory Walworth Memorial Fund
In England, Simon and Lynn Walworth along with their family and friends are working so hard to raise funds for Wheels 4 Life so that we can buy bikes to give to those that really need them in memory of their son Rory.
Rory was an avid mountain biker and follower of Hans’ work. We at Wheels 4 Life are so honored that his family chose our charity to be linked to their much loved son’s memory.
To date they have raised an amazing £5732.19, this equates to approximately 90 bicycles! The first 23 bikes which they donated have already been delivered to The Orucho Hill Centre in Kenya, they are being used by orphans to get to school and also to transport crops to the market. Through the use of these bikes, these children have the chance of an education and/or a job when the alternative could have been a desolate future.

Our partners and supporters from the Tretlager Bike Shop in Winterthur Switzerland have organized another fundraiser for Wheels 4 Life. They organized a riding clinic at their shop by Thomas Lenherr as coach.

Rock n Road Bike Shop used bike fundraiser

Rock n Road Bike Shops and Team Sho-Air/VeloSport are hosting a bicycle donation day for the Hans Rey Wheels4Life Charity. The donation day will take place on Saturday April 11th. If you wish to donate a bicycle to the Wheels4Life charity, please bring it to your local Rock n Road bike shop during normal business hours on Saturday April 11th. Please be sure the bicycle is in good working order. If you are not sure of the bicycles condition, the Rock n Road repair shop can take a look at it and give you a cost estimate for any necessary repairs.
Come and also go on a ride with Hans:The Rock n Road Laguna Niguel shop will be the focus of the donation day and Hans Rey will be present to visit and perhaps lead a fun MTB ride at Aliso/Woods Wilderness Park at 10AM.

Michael & Matt fundraiser
Matt and Micheal, two 12 year old boys from the Los Angeles area, have organized a used bike collection for Wheels 4 Life. ( we usually don’t deal with used bikes, but in this case we will bring them straight to Mexico and make sure they will find owners in need of mobility).
They had their bike collection last weekend and collected 26 bikes plus $161 in cash. I got to meet the boys on Sunday in Orange County, when they delivered the bikes to where we are storing them until we will deliver them to Mexico.

Tretlager Bike Shop Fundraiser Switzerland
Winterthur Nov.‘08
The guys from the Tretlager Bike Shop in Winterthur, Switzerland organized a great fundraiser to raise money and bike parts for the two bike shops we are planning to open in the Ugweno Valley in Tanzania in 2009.
We had great turnout, almost the whole GT Team Switzerland, incl. BMX Olympian Roger Ringerknecht, Pascal and Rachel Seydoux, Reto Schmid, and GT veteran and W4L founder Hans Rey himself.
We got many Maxxis tires donated and people bought and donated bike parts such as wheels, tubes, and racks, which will be shipped to Tanzania in February ‘09, when we will help open the local bike shops at our Wheels 4 Villages Project in Tanzania. We also raised approx. US$ 2,300.- in cash. Efforts are still under way to raise additional funds over the Holidays.

November 5. - 8. 2008 will be the first ever “Baja Epic” 4 day mountain bike stage race in Baja California, Mexico.
Event organizer is “Too Much Fun Promotions” from Rosarito Beach, Mexico. Rider from all over the world are expected. On Friday November 7th will be a Wheels 4 Life party/fundraiser.

Art of Fitness Laguna Fundraiser
Art of Fitness Laguna Fundraiser
May 31st, 2008, in Laguna Beach California, Art of Fitness partnered with other local businesses to throw a block party that would benefit Wheels 4 Life. The event opened with a three hour Spin-a-thon. Participants supported the Wheels4Life mission by pledging a sum of money for every hour they rode the bikes.
Later in the day, live music, food, raffles, and $5 massages attracted beach goers to hang out, and learn about the cause.
The raffle prizes were donated by friends of the fitness center and tickets were bought at $1 each. After the winners were drawn, and the proceeds were counted, Art of Fitness had raised over $1950.- for Wheels 4 Life!
Art of Fitness owners Marian Keegan and Fernanda Rocha were excited about the opportunity to give back on a local and global scope. “We are so fortunate to live in such a generous community that understands this mission.”

Figu's 75th Birthday Fundraiser

My father Felix a.k.a. Figu Rey organized a Wheels 4 Life fundraiser in occasion to his 75th B-day party. He asked his guests to rather donate towards buying some bikes, than bringing gifts for his birthday.
A great thanks goes out to Figu, Sigi and all their guests, they raised enough money to buy 15 new bikes for our Wheels 4 Village project in Tanzania.

Trent College Supports Wheel4Villages
We are very happy that Trent College from Nottingham, UK, one of England’s top private colleges, came on board as a supporter and partner for the Wheels4Villages project.
Our “Wheels 4 Villages — Film Project” is a 2-year film project to document the impact of bicycles in one remote Tanzanian community.
The film will demonstrate the live-changing importance of bikes in the Third World.
Trent College and its students will be involved on several different levels; their first fundraiser just happened the other day.

Marco Marchese from the organizers of the 24hours race of Finale Ligure, Italy; presented Hans Rey a check for Wheels 4 Life over Euro 1017.-
The money was raised during a fundraiser at the famous 24hour mountain bike race of Finale Ligure.
- The 24H of Finale, since 1999, has always promoted the “fun” side of mountain bike, gathering for ride with your friends, barbeque, cold beers, music, shows, party along the 7 km course, in one of the most beautiful mountain bike spot in Europe.
- First Hans Rey partecipation to the 24h of Finale was in 99, year of the induction in the MBHOF held in Finale, where he did one of the best trial show we've ever seen.

Fox Shox raffles off a fork at Interbike
Fox Shox Inc. sold 276 raffle tickets during Interbike tradeshow in Las Vegas Sept. 27. -29. 2006. The lucky winner of the Fox Talas fork was Nate Trumble from Santa Cruz, Ca. Tickets sold for $ 1.- each all proceeds will benefit Wheels 4 Life. At a similar promotion at a recent tradeshow in Germany, Fox Shox sold 660 tickets.
CamelBak Bottles

At this year’s Eurobike show a total of 1000 CamelBak bottles were sold, generating proceeds of 10.000 Euro in total. The amount was handed over to Hans Rey, mountain bike legend and founder of ‘Wheels 4 Life’.
“This was the biggest promotion for our charity so far. It was a great way to raise awareness and funds. With this donation we can buy at least 150 bicycles. I hope we can do similar promotions in the future. It was nice to see how much dedication and heart the Camelbak crew put into this promotion during Eurobike”, said Hans Rey. Wheels 4 Life is a non-profit organization that aims to provide people in third world countries with bikes as an important means of transportation to school or work.

Wheels 4 Life Partners with Journey School to Send Bikes For Christmas
Journey School is a Waldorf-inspired charter elementary school located in Aliso Viejo. Situated adjacent to Aliso/Woods Canyon Regional Park, students often take to their bikes to explore some of the 5,000 acres of wilderness right next door.
On Friday, December 9th their 11:00 a.m. bicycle field trip will take on a whole new spin. The children will help former trials riding champion and world renowned extreme mountain biker Hans Rey, launch his new charity, Wheels 4 Life. The goal of this charity is to provide bicycles to people in third world countries so that they can elevate their standard of living. In this case, these Orange County children will hold an on-campus bake sale to raise enough money to send bikes to children in Mexico.
